Jaguar SUV family expanded with the E-PACE along with already present all-electric I-PACE Concept and the 2017 World Car of the Year, the Jaguar F-PACE – itself launched with a spectacular GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ in 2015.
The exterior design projects a distinguished Jaguar grille, shorter overhangs, strong proportions, and powerful rear that give the E-PACE an edgy appearance, instantly communicating dynamic agility. Jaguar sports car DNA is obviously projected in the smooth sweep of the roofline and the distinctive side window graphic.
ExCeL in London was the iconic location where the world record was made, behind the wheel was stunt driver Terry Grant, who has completed stunts on many film sets and holds an impressive 21 GUINNESS WORLD RECORD™ titles.
The barrel roll was performed after months of testing and analysing to achieve the fine-tuning of the stunt, including achieving precisely the correct speed of run-up. The ramps were prepared extensively using CAD before any jumps took place. Terry felt an amazing G-Force of 5.5 during the 270-degree twist and required a 160-metre run up to hit the air at the correct speed.
