The chassis of the new SUV is based on the ones of the VW Golf and Audi Q2. The VW Tiguan’s lineup model is supposed to go on sale in 2018. Images giving a glimpse of the new TRoc have been released along with a spyshot has revealed what the car will look like. More on the car has been predicted that leads to the final image of the 2018 VW TRoc.
Since it is an SUV a rugged, off-road look is something that will define it and VW TRoc has it all. Sports Daytime Running Light (DRL), silver roof rails and large alloy wheels. The prototype features bluff ends, sharply creased bonnets, and angular grilles. Even though the brake lights are hidden, however, it is expected for TRoc to share the similar units as in Tiguan. The rear bumper can have quite a few interesting range of trim pieces and crafty details.
A larger cabin than the VW Golf and could feel just as spacious as the Audi Q2. Body-colored trims and a few more interesting and unusual design touches may also be a part of the upcoming model. A 12.3-inch display with a digital screen taking place of the traditional dials along a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system sitting on the center console. A 400 liter of boot capacity same as the Audi Q2 is expected to be featured.
Engine and Drive
The VW TRoc fitted with the new 1.5 liters four cylinder engine and DSG auto gearbox was tested by journalists. The reviewers noted that the acceleration is quite forceful for a small SUV, followed with a sporty exhaust note. Other engines could include a 1.0-liter three-cylinder petrol unit. It was also reported that the T-Roc is quite sporty for a small Crossover as it handles fairly responsively and doesn’t roll excessively when cornering hard. Noise-proofing is also pretty good as wind and tyre noises are minimum with only slight whistle coming from wind mirrors.
The model promises a good driving because of agile handling and reasonably refined road manners.
Scheduled to go on sale in 2018 this car will make its debut at 2017 Frankfurt motor show in September.
