The All-new 2017 Peugeot 3008 has been recently launched by the PSA Groupe as its 2nd Generation of this family crossover, already claimed its 21st award as the European Car of The Year 2017 at the Geneva Motor Show. The car features a sleek design and combines robustness with elegance.
Peugeot has bought whole new series of corrections for its all-new 2017 Peugeot 3008 crossover starting from its new platform and wheelbase proportions lighter than before to its evolved exterior looks, all together giving it a fresh crossover SUV look a lot different than its previous french obsessive MPV design, its strong and inspired design with strong shoulder line, vertical grill and horizontal bonnet showcase its charismatic appeal, while the stylish chrome wing inserts and stainless steel roof arch trim emphasise its fluid and dynamic lines, enhanced by the gloss Black Diamond roof with electric blinder and blue side lightings. The rear end has its innovative style, with a gloss black rear panel incorporating Peugeot's signature claw effect LED lighting.
The advanced dashboard is the latest generation PEUGEOT i-Cockpit®, a novel concept that is a highly technological ensemble. The large 8” touch-screen resembles a tablet installed in the centre of the dashboard and is equipped with capacitive technology for greater reactivity and practicality. It is accompanied by six elegant piano-key “toggle switches” - giving direct and permanent access to the main control functions: radio, climate control, navigation, vehicle parameters, telephone and mobile applications.
The GCC market will soon be able to own the long-awaited vehicle that has been hot-weather tested in the region. The engine of the 2017 PEUGEOT 3008 CUV features a 1.6L Turbo, 165 HP engine and 6-speed automatic gearbox,with sports mode and paddle shifts, that gives ultra-low consumption with a torque of 240 N.M. at 1,400 rpm.
The latest technologies of Peugeot like Mirror Screen, wireless smartphone charging and 3D connected navigation fulfills the need to stay connected at the wheel and to be able to navigate calmly. Automatic Emergency Braking System (AEBS): An intelligent autonomous braking system designed to avoid a collision or limit its severity by reducing the vehicle's speed. The system is triggered if the driver does not react quickly enough, by activating the vehicle's brakes.
Distance Alert System: If the vehicle risks a collision with the vehicle in front or a pedestrian in the road the distance alert function warns the driver.
Adaptive Cruise Control: The system detects a vehicle driving in front in the same direction and can automatically adapt the vehicle's speed to that of the vehicle in front. This occurs using engine braking and the braking system (in which case the brake lights are lit) to maintain a constant distance.
Many more functions such as blind spot monitoring, Peugeot connect SOS and Assistance, Smart Beam Assistance and speed limit recognition and Driver Attention Alert makes it technologically equipped.
